Photography & Filming

Official photographers and videographers will document the General Assembly, Scientific Symposium, social events and other official activities throughout ICOMOS GA2026.

Official coverage

You may appear in event photos and video

By attending, delegates acknowledge that photographs and video may be taken in conference and event areas. They may be used by ICOMOS, ICOMOS Malaysia and the GA2026 organisers for:

  • Event documentation & reports
  • Publications & websites
  • Social media
  • Future promotional & archival use
Your own photos

Personal photography is welcome, with some limits

You may take photographs for personal use unless told otherwise. Photography or recording may be restricted during some meetings, presentations, ceremonies, technical visits and culturally sensitive activities, so please follow announcements and signage.

  • Local communities & sacred placesAsk permission and respect local customs and privacy when photographing communities, ceremonies, places of worship or culturally sensitive sites.
  • Fellow delegatesBe considerate, particularly during informal conversations, networking and social events.
  • Restricted session contentDo not photograph, film or record unpublished research, copyrighted material, or content a speaker marks as confidential or not for recording.
  • Announcements & signageWhere organisers indicate that photography is not allowed, please put cameras and phones away.
