Becoming a Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the ICOMOS General Assembly and Scientific Symposium 2026. We are pleased to open applications for individuals who would like to be part of this international event. Volunteers will be scheduled to work on a shift basis between 14–24 October 2026, and applicants are encouraged to ensure they are available throughout this period before applying. A variety of volunteer roles are available, and you may indicate your preferred role from the options listed in the form below.

• Registration & Delegate Services: Handles delegate check-in, badge distribution, welcome packs, general enquiries, and guiding attendees around the venue.
• Room & Session Support: Assists with session flow, including speaker coordination, microphone handling, timekeeping, managing entry, and liaising with the technical/AV team.
• Exhibition, Sponsors & Secretariat Assistance: Supports exhibitors and sponsors, helps the organising secretariat with administrative tasks, and assists at information counters.
• VIP & Protocol Assistance: Escorts VIPs and invited guests, manages seating protocols, and assists with hospitality arrangements.
• Logistics, Transport & Event Operations: Supports crowd flow, wayfinding, transport coordination, poster sessions, backstage tasks, and other operational needs.
