The 2026 General Assembly will include online information sessions and an electronic voting process taking place before and during the Assembly in Kuching. This page provides an overview of the key dates; details on registration and participation will be communicated at a later stage.
Three information sessions, open to all members, will be held in advance of the Assembly:
These sessions will provide members with the opportunity to seek clarification and obtain further information on the topics presented.
Electronic voting will be conducted partly in advance of the in-person General Assembly and will continue during the days of the Assembly. Voting is open to designated voting members of National Committees, who have been officially appointed by their respective committees. It will cover the election of the Board, as well as the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Extraordinary General Assembly.
We encourage all members to participate in the information sessions and to consult this calendar carefully to prepare for the 2026 General Assembly.
The 22nd General Assembly of ICOMOS will elect twenty members of the Board by secret ballot for a term of three years (10/2026-2029), and from those will elect a President, a Secretary General, a Treasurer, and five Vice Presidents.
