Calls for the Triennial General Assembly

The upcoming Triennial General Assembly represents a key moment for our network to come together, share insights, and contribute to shaping our collective priorities

A number of calls for participation are now open, offering members the opportunity to actively engage in the preparation and outcomes of the Assembly, as well as the future of ICOMOS. We encourage all members to explore these opportunities.

Key Deadlines

Please take note of the following important deadlines:

  • Candidatures for the ICOMOS Board elections – Second deadline: 19 August 2026
  • Financial assistance for participation – Deadline: 27 March 2026
  • Nominations for the Piero Gazzola Prize – Deadline: 19 April 2026
  • Nominations for Honorary membership of ICOMOS Deadline: 19 April 2026
  • Draft resolutions for the General Assembly – Deadline: 19 August 2026

We strongly recommend submitting your applications and contributions well in advance of the deadlines.

GA Calendar

The 2026 General Assembly will include online information sessions and an electronic voting process taking place before and during the Assembly in Kuching. This page provides an overview of the key dates; details on registration and participation will be communicated at a later stage.

Three information sessions, open to all members, will be held in advance of the Assembly:

  • 2 September, at 10:00 and 18:00 (Paris time) / 16:00 and 00:00 on 3 September (Kuching time) – information session on the proposed draft resolutions
  • 6 October, at 12:00 (Paris time) / 18:00 (Kuching time) – information session on the ICOMOS financial reports and draft budget, with the opportunity to ask questions to the Treasurer and the Director General.
  • 7 October, at 12:00 (Paris time) / 18:00 (Kuching time) – information session on the online voting process and the online opening of the General Assembly and Extraordinary General Assembly.

These sessions will provide members with the opportunity to seek clarification and obtain further information on the topics presented.

Electronic voting will be conducted partly in advance of the in-person General Assembly and will continue during the days of the Assembly. Voting is open to designated voting members of National Committees, who have been officially appointed by their respective committees. It will cover the election of the Board, as well as the resolutions of the General Assembly and the Extraordinary General Assembly.

We encourage all members to participate in the information sessions and to consult this calendar carefully to prepare for the 2026 General Assembly.
