The main flight hubs that connects to Kuching International Airport (KIA) is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA); serviced by more than 60 airlines and accessible to over 80 scheduled global destinations.
There are more than 26 flights taking off daily from Kuala Lumpur to Kuching alone; with Kuching city enjoying more than 40 direct flights daily from other major cities in Malaysia such as Kota Kinabalu, Penang and Johor Bahru.
Malaysia offers visa-free entry to more than 150 countries. For delegates with no reciprocal arrangements for visa exemptions, kindly apply for entry visas and ICOMOS Malaysia and the Malaysian Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MYCEB) will provide the necessary assistance and referrals.
The application process will take approximately 4-6 months from time of application submission to the relevant Ministries/government agencies. Once feedback from all Ministries have been obtained, delegates can then approach the nearest Malaysia Embassy/Consulate office for visa processing. All documents submitted must be valid for more than six (6) months from the date of entry.
